We got tired of it too. So we built a contractor portal that does the whole thing online — quote to drop-off to invoice — without a single phone call. The video above is a three-minute walkthrough, but here’s the written version so you know exactly what you’re getting before you sign up.
Set up an account once
Your account holds your business info, your billing email, and your full order history. Set it up one time and every future order is faster — your details are already there, and past jobs are a click away when you need to reorder a spec you’ve run before. (New accounts go through a quick approval step on our end before the first order, so we know who we’re working with.)
Build the order from the catalogue
Inside, you build an order the way you’d build a cart. The catalogue lists exactly what we offer — pigmented and stained systems, clear coats, doors, drawer fronts, molding — and you click to add what the job needs. A single order can mix paint colors, finishes, and wood species; just add as many lines as it takes.
The part contractors tell us they appreciate most: the price is right there. As you add items and set their options, the order totals live on screen — subtotal, base-paint fee, the works. No “we’ll get you a number.” You see what the job costs while you’re building it, so you can price it into your bid on the spot.
Pick a drop-off date from a live capacity calendar
This is the feature that replaces the most phone calls. When you schedule, the calendar shows you real availability — it’s computed from our actual shop capacity in labor-hours, not a guess. Weekends, holidays, and weeks we’re genuinely too full to take work are greyed out, so the dates you can pick are dates we can actually honor.
Need it faster than the standard window? There’s an expedite option right in the scheduler for when a deadline genuinely can’t move. No negotiation required — you can see the rush terms and decide for yourself.
Review, then submit
Before anything reaches the shop floor, you get a full review screen: every line, every option, your dates, and the total. Save it as a draft if you’re still firming up the job, or submit it when you’re ready. Either way, nothing is a mystery and nothing goes out half-finished.
Track status without calling us
Once an order is in, My Orders shows you where every job stands — received, in process, ready, picked up — so “is it done yet?” is something you can just look up. If you’ve ordered with us before, your past jobs live there too, which makes reorders and remakes a one-minute job instead of a phone tree.
Invoices and payment, handled
When the work’s done, your invoice is generated automatically and you can pay online by card or bank transfer (ACH) through a secure checkout — we never see or store your card details. Need a P.O. number on the invoice for your accounting? There’s a field for that, and it prints right where your bookkeeper expects it.
Why we built our own
Off-the-shelf scheduling software is built for recurring service businesses — lawn care, cleaning, pest control — not for project-based custom finishing where every order is different. None of it fit how a finishing shop actually works, so we built the system around our process instead of bending our process around the software.
